I received a pre-qual mailer for the Bank of the West Cash Back World card. They offered a SUB of $100 for spending $1K in 90 days. A little eh, but better than nothing, for sure. I responded and got the 7-10 message. So I went on my merry way. I check the mailbox today and inside was my new Cash Back World card! The SL is anemic, compared to my other cards..$3K. I'm guessing this is due to having no relationship with them until now.
In any case, I doubt this card will get much use after I get the SUB. It appears that rewards have to be redeemed in $25 increments (one of my big gripes about AMEX's old methods). However, it has 12 months of 0% APR, in case I need to make a major purchase any time soon. I did manage to get the lowest APR offered, 16.99%, once the introductory period is done.
UPDATE: I haven't seen an HP yet. And it looks like the CC is already reporting to the 3 majors CRAs as a Flexible Spending Credit Card, despite the CL being below $5K.
Guess I'd better update my siggy.
