Best Buy (Citibank) wants me to call them 👀 Update - CLI Approved

I asked for a increase and this is the response I got. Any idea what they want? If they want to know why I need a increase what are some helpful tips to use?

They want to hard pull your credit . Theyll ask why you need it but the main purpose is to hard pull your credit snd can go either way on approval

The message seems like a standard reply whenever you submit for certain account requests.  Since you have already submitted for the CLI, it appears the top sentence addressed that they have recieved your request.   Are your CRs frozen?  If so, they will not be able to proceed with the request until you contact them unless it's something specific they want to address regarding your CLI request.

I had the same thing happen last time I hit the luv button. They wanted to speak to DW (AU acct). They just asked her standard CLI questions such as income, assets and how much increase we wanted. They already did the HP prior to us calling so they just approved our request right there and then while on the phone with the Senior UW/Analyst.

I called them this morning and just like you guys said they asked standard questions.

My limit is 10k age of account 1 year and I shot for the moon and asked for a additional 10k 😎I mean why not, if it works. The csr put me on hold for a moment. She came back and told me she couldn't give me the 10k but countered with 5k 🤔 I can live with that.

Yes $5K is a decent increase. Grats!
