Best Buy and Lowes Success

My wife and I just recently closed on a house last week and so I decided I wanted to apply for one card (Lowes) and ask for a CLI on another (Best Buy).

Was approved for Lowes but with a smaller limit than I wanted.  I called the back door number and was given a 10K limit.

Called today for my Best Buy Card that has been stuck at 800$ for over 5 years now and got it raised to a 10k limit as well.

All in all it has been a good week.

I was very surprised with Best Buy.  It was my first credit card ever and has been stuck at a low limit forever. 

I was going to cancel the card it they did not raise it because 800$ is useless at Best Buy honestly.  

Wife and I are thrilled with the new house.  We have been planning this for a few years but both had some major credit issues we had to fix to get our scores in a position to do so.

Question: did you wait for the Lowe's card to arrive before calling?

I called the Lowes backdoor number within 5 minutes of getting the approval online.

The original approval was for $2K and that seemed way to low to me.

Monday I was approved in-store for 2K. I just now followed your lead, called overseas, and was also given a CLI to 10K. Thank you, br, for leading the way.

Was it a HP for Best Buy??
Lowe's are awesome with CLI, I got CLI from them May 2018 for 10K from $3037 (opened June 2017).
