Applied for a CLI randomly for my BestBuy Store card and was instantly approved for $5000 CLI. Making my total limit to $10K. Since it was instant, dont think any credit report was pulled.

Congrats, but IME Citi-backed store cards are always a HP for a CLI unless they specifically send out a (rare) targeted offer for one. DW got a CLI to $10k on hers a while back, and while instant, it was a HP (I believe on TransUnion, but don't quote me on that). Please follow up with us, as any change in that would be great to hear!

I just received an e-mail from my citi sears mc that my credit line was auto increased by 1200 to 5200. had the card since nov 17. just let my first balance report of 3k at 0% 12 month purchase. 1 week later, cli increased.

Signature as of 10/01/21. Clean file. MYFICO 3B. I live in Green Bay, Wisconsin for those tracking what credit bureau is pulled by location.

Still no credit pull alert for BestBuy, so guessing this was a soft pull. Wish BestBuy could upgrade the card to a VISA card

Sorry taking my word back. BestBuy did a HP and got an alert from MyFico. They pulled EQ for me. On the other hand MyFICO also alerted my EQ score jumped 34 points !! maybe it already increased over time and they just didn't alert me. Either way, i will take the HP for a 5K more increase to my available limits.

@K-in-Boston thanks. Your scores are amazing. I would like to see my scores go upto 750 by end of this year and then more next year so that i can go for a 0% financing for a new truck
