Yeah, it's a different story when it's actually in your home, in settings your familiar with. Not in places you don't normally relax and watch TV or movies.
LCD are the bottom of the food chain for most videophiles. Plasma TV on the other hand and the newer OLEDs look phenomenal. JVC projects for example have better contrast and black levels than any standard LCD TV. This is easily seenby watching the same dark scenes on each. One big positive is the price per inches. I've ran up to a 120 inch screen with maybe $3500 invested. You can't get that kind of image or size with a TV any where near the price.
