I was approved a few months back for a Bloomingdale's account--don't get me wrong, I was very happy to be approved! But not much I could do with only a $300 CL. I requested an increase today online; not an immediate approval. I asked for $3k and they countered with $2,800 a few hours later. Very pleased! I am now waiting to hear back on my Macy's CLI; hopefully I will have similar success!

ETA: Macy's just came back--countered to a $1500 increase, which puts me at $1800 with them. I will take it after being stuck at $300 forever! I'm curious for those of you who upgraded your card to a Macy's Amex--what was your Macy's store card limit at the time? Curious as to whether they have a specific threshold, like with Nordstrom, where you need to be at $5k minimum to convert to a Visa siggy. Thanks in advance for the feedback!!

@Thank you @dbw79! I will definitely update this post once I know for sure if it was a HP. I have a feeling it will be. And will most likely be EX as that is who they pulled when I was initially approved. I wish I had waited 30 days to apply for this card, as my EX score shot up almost 80 points right after I applied! Oh well!
