Bloomingdales in store approval no hard pull - is that possible?

UPDATE SLOW TO GET AN ALERT BUT THEY HARD PULLED EXPERIAN

Shopping with wife and making a decent size purchase $600 which I was going to put on a credit card and PIF when it posts.

Rep suggested we apply for Bloomies card.

I really didn't want the hard pull but what the heck %15 off in store for 2 days saved us $90.

It was approved with a relatively low $1,500 starting limit.

Odd thing is I didn't get any alerts about a hard pull and normally my phone lights up like a Christmas tree if I even think of apping.  Between CK, MyFiCO, Amex, Trusted ID, Credit Sesame and others not a single alert.  I have noticed MyFICO can be a day late for changes but the others are usually as it happens.

I update the thread end of day but maybe just maybe in store app may not be a hard pull.

Congrats!

$1500 is actually a pretty decent starting limit for a department store card. Use it well and it'll grow.
