I had my wife apply for the 123 for the gas rewards(I didnt want to take another hard pull) and she was instantly approved $3500. Thats pretty impressive considering the only card she ever owned was a $600 Sears card that has been closed for more than 5 years--but she is AU on all of mine.
I figured she might as well call and ask for a higher limit--couldnt hurt, right? She was very nervous on the phone and didnt really know what to say even though I tried to prep her before the call. She asked to match the Citi card ($8500) and they immediately said, yes. I couldnt believe they didnt put her on hold or pause at all before agreeing to 140% cli! I bet sahe could have broken into 5 digits. Im very proud of her--and she definitely has a big sense of "I fixed my credit too."
Her score is 660 according to her approval letter and about the same on myfico. She told them she is a fll time student, but they used my self employed income 165k
nice CLI!
Im trying to do the same. What number did you call?

Thanks! I called this morning and they were able to double the card I received on Saturday to $5,000 and convert it to a signature visa.
