It's been 2 years and 1 month since I opened my BofA Cash Rewards Student Card (my first card), started off at $700 and stayed there for 1 year and 2 months then limit was raised to $2100 and 4 months ago limit was raised to $4500, today I decided to apply for a CLI since the button showed up about a month ago, I asked for 10k (ask was high since I knew they counter offered) and I was approved for $7000. I pay in full and the last few months (since last CLI) ran about 3k through it. I also have BOA checking/savings so they know my money flow, think that definitely helped.
I also went incognito on Amex yesterday and got the 50k membership reward points offer for the PRG, decided to go for it as well, had to call in for approval.

congrats on the cli's
Congrats on the nice CLI. Do you know if it was a hard pull or soft? The "request CLI" button has been on my account for about a month, I got a nice auto CLI earlier this year so hesitant to risk a HP, my EX already has 10 inquiries, but over half fall off this year.
CLIs are hard pull 99% of the time. The 1% that isn't is the rare SP offer that they might send via email or show on special offer in your account page.
Congratulations on the BofA increase and all the best with that relationship going forward from here
You said they know your money flow since you have a savings account and checking account....I thought the cc department/branch of BofA was seperate? In other words, does the BofA CC people really have access to how much money is going through your other checking/savings accounts? I have always wanted to know this
Congratulations on the increase. I'm in a similar position with similar cards, so it's interesting to compare our SL's and current limits. I'm sitting at $6,000 on my BOA Cash Rewards (started at $1,500), $3,500 on my Discover it (started at $1,000), and $6,000 on my Amex ED (started at $2,000). My BCE is not elgible for an increase due to my upgrading of the ED card, but I'll be requesting a line increase on that when the time comes. Feel free to pm me if you'd ever like to compare cards in more detail.
