After a few consecutive days of credit-related disappointments and frustrations, I needed a pick-me-up. Bank of America came through for me.
Approved for a $15k CLI on my Travel Rewards card, from $35k to $50k. Applied via website with all reports frozen. Instant approval for the full amount I requested. TU8 is 787. I have 15+ years of banking history with them and have used this card pretty heavily, though inconsistently, in the year and a half I've had it.
I'm happy to have my first jumbo limit, but I'm also a little ashamed of my lack of willpower. I am three months into my effort to only seek one CLI per month, but this one my second one today. I'm trying to pace myself because I got carried away for much of 2020. (Therapeutic credit seeking is apparently a thing.) A clear sign of trouble was when BofA sent me a denial letter in October that said I was requesting too often. Today, in my moment of weakness, I decided to test whether three months without asking was enough to get me out of their doghouse. Apparently the answer is yes.
Now that I've scratched the itch, I'm getting back on the wagon. One CLI per month for me. That's it. No more.
Big congrats on your CLI!!

Will that really be satisfying enough?
