CAPITAL ONE VENTURE AND QUICKSLIVER

Hello,

Just playing around on Captial one website and notice the Pre quaify...I have three cards with them now..Plat, QS1 and Sony total CL of $9850 at 7% utlization.
Well, I got a "Congrads you've been pre-qualifed for a Venture and regular QS...what should I do????!!!
It would be nice to get a better tier card, should I ask for an upgrade on what I currently have?
If they do upgrade my Cap1 QS1 to a regular QS...will I get an increase on the CL?

I've just got approved for a Walmart card at $1,200 which did not lower my scores so I'm happy about that....(reporting already)

I'm confused and happy at the same time...

Current scores 1/2016 TU 662 EQ 669 EX 653

Congrats on the Walmart approval. I'd PC for an upgrade. Why not. It doesn't cost anything negative. The worst they say is no.

Yes

Good luck

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: CAPITAL ONE VENTURE AND QUICKSLIVER

I would apply for both of them. Venture first. Then if you want to at a later date combine cards. That is what I did. Good luck whatever you decide.

Re: CAPITAL ONE VENTURE AND QUICKSLIVER

PC'ing doesn't give you an auto CLI or anything. You should see if you can also combine that platinum into your newly obtained QS. I would 100% advise against doing a PC to the venture or venture one (I know you didn't mention that but I wanted to nip that idea in the rear end)

Thank you for your response.
Do you think I won't qualify for a Venture or it's not a good card ?

Please let me know...Your help is greatly appreciated.

Re: CAPITAL ONE VENTURE AND QUICKSLIVER

The card is good but only if you get that awesome 40k point bonus. It's quite marginal (unless you spend about $20k+ a year on it) if you just do a PC to it

And the venture one is pretty inferior and 100% not worth a PC. It's essentially a 1.25% card only redeemable for travel. It's not even as good as the QS.
