This thread seems to have gone completely off topic. @SRT4kid93 I'd recommend you start a new post.

It's true, we've veered off topic. FWIW, there is already a thread on the great @SRT4kid93 scoring mystery.
this will be the last off topic post I make in this thread as I agree it's gone off topic,
I was already 2/12 when the Amex hit, so I didn't receive any penalty for that
- my equifax is my clean profile, for some reason my old car loan didn't report to equifax. My car loan is my acct with my late payment so since equifax doesn't have that account, it has no late payments while ta and exp do.

Something is not adding up about the scores and information you're posting. I'll take it back to the other thread to keep it on topic.

When I got the gold card I wasn't approved for the BCP so I figured getting the gold would help build my Amex relationship. Maybe I'll cancel it once the first year is up before the 2nd annual fee,
If you want to remain in Amex's good graces, do not cancel the Gold until after the 2nd annual fee posts. Amex is known for clawing back sign up bonuses for closing an account too early. Also, the RAT (Rewards Abuse Team) can flag your profile as a churner and put you in "pop up jail" where you become ineligible for signup bonuses for a period of time. For best results, pay the second annual fee and keep the account open until shortly before the 3rd fee hits.
Seconded. Better than I could have put it.
I opened the Premier Rewards Gold because "cool gold card; status; imma baller; mug credit mazin" had it for a year and closed it before the af hit and opened a ED to store the 50k point signup bonus from the gold, I've yet to use (getting on that now tbh)
to be honest it was at that point in time useless to me and I didn't give much thought opening it. Purely a status thing as I had gotten the BCP before and was excited to get more cards.
now is just about the time that it could be useful for me, with much more value than 6% back @ BCP in cash instead getting travel back, but I haven't seen if I am in popup jail for it, and won't want to see until its value just as the card will exceed the astronomical sign up bonus that will temp me like no other. I'd hate to loose the BCP too. Gets all my groceries, don't use for fuel but tolls are charged to it.
adding restaurants (a category I try and fail to spend in ($750 last month)) will be awesome.
now I only get 3x which is quite good with Chase & BILT... and for free.
so I just saved myself a few years of wanting that AmEx Gold right there.... 💅🏻😁
@SRT4kid93 you totally need to get your hands on BILT.

Fico does not penalize too many accounts in a certain amount of time.
If you're 0/12 revolving and you go to 1/12 by opening a new revolving account, you'll lose ~20 points for scorecard reassignment to a 'new revolver' scorecard.
There's no additional penalty for going to 2/12, 3/12, 4/12, etc. You take the hit on the first new revolver and that's it. Any score hit for these additional accounts comes from 1) the inquiries, and 2) indirectly via age metrics.
Interesting, I gained 2 points on EQ a few days ago... in a few days 2 inquiries (BILT & Smartly) will be 6 months old.
I've opened a CSP in April.... ohhhh my Citi Simplicity is now 12 months old.
that must be it. Just realized.
