I'm also helping DH in his rebuild. In August he was approved for Care Credit $500 SL. His dog is sick and he wanted some flexibility just in case. He has used it twice at the vet and paid off prior to incurring interest. Yesterday his 5th statement cut and I requested a CLI.
The form asks how much you want. I put in 750 and they approved him for 1500.
While I was at it I headed over to Victoria Secret and requested a CLI, went from 900 - 1400. Not bad considering I use it maybe 4 times a year. He's had it for about 15 months. It was one of the first cards he was able to obtain in the rebuild.
