My OP mysteriously disappeared so I apologize if it's just a glitch and I end up posting twice.
Ok, I may have overexaggerated. I'm still feeling pretty good after my recent CLI spree
Ever since I started working on my credit I've had my eye on the Citi Double Cash. I cold apped for it a few months ago during a minor spree and was denied for too many inqs. I gardened for a few months and the mail offers started coming in. I received an offer for 18 months 0% APR and 14.99% after (that's a low APR for me as I have a relatively thin file) and decided to accept.
Approved with $3,900 SL!
But that's easily my lowest limit (apart from my Target card, but I don't count that), so when I activated my card I asked for an increase to $10k. Got a review message, so i figured it might have been declined since it's a brand new account. I kind of forgot about it.
This reminded me that it had been a while since I requested clis on any of my other cards. So I went through them:
Discover IT: APPROVED for $4,500 increase to $14.3k
Amex BCE: APPROVED for new limit of $20k
Chase FU: Not willing to take a HP and the account is almost a year old so I'm gonna wait and see if I get some auto luv
Citi DC: APPROVED for $8.9k! They didn't approve the full amount since I was a new account but said to try again in a few months
A few data points: Started with a mid 600s score a couple years ago, multiple late payments in 2011 on several student loans that happened to be bundled into one payment, 5 inquiries on TU and 1 on EX. FICO 08 score 762 EX, 737 TU. Annual income $49k, util ~ 4%, AAoA 10 years (student loans and hubby's Chase card).
Just wanted to share

Congrats on your sucess! I have had my CiTi DC for a year now and love it but uit has a low limit and has only seen 1 cli in that year. I just might be tempted to take a HP for a more substantial increase. Do you know which credit bureau they pulled for your CiTi increase?
Congrats on your hard work and success !
None of them as far as I can tell. I'm pretty sure it was a soft pull cli.
Congrats on your approvals!
P.S. Your other thread got stuck in the spam quarantine when you edited it... I pulled it out of spam then removed it from the forum since you now have a duplicate. I don't think you'll have the problem again, but if you do instructions are here.
Nice work on the well rounded prime portfolio. Citi seems tough to get in with!
