Long time lurker, first time posting.
So, a couple days back, I finally decided to jump the gun to apply for the CSP. Been itching to do it but I waited until my Freedom card was 3 months old. Did the application online and got the 30 day message and waited for a bit (like 30 minutes or so) before calling recon. Talked the the CSR and two minutes later, the person congratulated me and approved me for a $12k SL. Not bad considering my other cards are no where close to that limit.
Initially thought of double dipping with the CFU but then I ultimately decided not to because I have heard about chase shutdowns happening pretty frequently lately. Pretty happy with this approval and I guess I am going gardening now to help strengthen my credit score.
Also would like to talk about the shipping of the card. When I got approved, I told the customer rep to "expedite" the card and he told me that he did it. Then I waited out a day to check my UPSChoice dashboard to see if the tracking has been activated. It did not. So, I sent a SM to chase and the person told me that the rep only helped me to get "Express Delivery" which is through USPS and will arrive in 1-3 business days. However, he did help me process a "Rush Delivery" for my CSP that will arrive in 1-2 business days through UPS. This is something to take note when you request your Chase card to be expedited as the customer service rep might perceive it to be the other.
