As for the card, redo your payment to bring it to 87.0%. That’s enough so that after interest is added, when the statement cuts you’ll still be under the 88.9% threshold.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I was wondering how interest factored in.

That was a rule of thumb I read on these boards last year so I’ve tried it myself on my accounts and it is enough to keep me from crossing a threshold down with my payment, and then going back over it when interest is added.

FYI, the proven scoring tiers for individual and aggregate usage are at 8.9, 28.9, 48.9, 68.9, and 88.9%. Pay down to the “7”s, as in 7%, 27%, etc so your interest doesn’t drive you back over a breakpoint.
