Cap 1 quicksilver cli

so I logged into my capital one account to see if I needed to make a payment. I paid off my quicksilver and my venture has $400 balance. I have had the quicksilver for 5 months and it started at $3000. When I looked today it jumped to $8000. I was shocked I never requested it and the balance was 0. Curious is the venture card will go up as well. I have had it for 4 months and same $3000 limit. I don't use either as much since I have gotten all of my Amex cards and discover card but is nice to see. Just curious why it jumped so high even without asking.

Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

When I was approved for my Quicksilver I received an email from Capital One stating that after 5 months of on-time payments I would be eligible for a CLI. I did not receive the same email when I was approved for the Venture.

I also know that Capital One and Discover do give auto CLI's periodically. Congrats on your CLI - I hope I will get a nice CLI like that when my QS hits 5 months.
