Capital One Approved!

I am very new to paying attention to my credit score and have only been trying to build it since last December. I previously applied for the discover it card but I got declined. The very next day after that the bogus collection I was disputing dropped off and my score went up to 651. I got a letter a few days later that showed it was 599 when discover checked it. I was bummed they said I could just try again but I was unsure about that, so instead I applied for the Capital one Journey card and I was approved for that! My plan is to eventually get the discover it card, and the venture card.
