Capital One CLI and PC!

Received a CLI from Cap One a couple of weeks ago. Had the platinum card for 2 years that started with a $300SL. It bumped to $500 after 6months then to $1500 after 6 more months. I kept requesting CLI every month for about 4 months and kept getting "too many inquiries" reason. Then finally was approved for the CLI and I was surprised... From $1500 to $4500. I called in a few days later after reading here about the PC and was approved to PC to the Venture One. I was really glad to finally be getting somewhere with Capital One. For about the past year I've been keeping my util on the card at about 9% reporting, but using it quite a bit. AAoA - 3 Years Overall Util - 9%

Re: Capital One CLI and PC!

Congratulations!

Question, did this close your old account and open a new one thus opening a new account and it showing as a new account on your CB's? Also, did this take a HP?

Re: Capital One CLI and PC!

The PC didn't take a HP. It's still the same account as well. The way Cap One does it is they give you the rewards for the new card, but keep all the other terms of your original card. Hope that helps.

Re: Capital One CLI and PC!

Congrats on your most recent CL1. I too had some recent success with cap1 after feeling ignored for 2 years. Feels good to finally get something for all that consistency doesn't it?

Re: Capital One CLI and PC!

Thank you. Yes it does. It felt real nice to try on my QS1 yesterday after 6 months and get an automatic $3000 CLI to $5000. I thought I was never going to get anywhere with them. I've just been very consistent for about the past years. Low util, good usage and lots of payments.
