Capital One Quicksilver Approval after Ch 13 Bankruptcy

Hello Everyone, 

I am new to the myFICO family after stalking the community posts for a couple of months.  

I filed for Ch 13 on June 1, 2018 and it was Discharged on July 29, 2024. It now feels so great having no credit card debt and I never want to be in that pre-filing position again!

 

With that said, I wanted to have a credit card to help with my fico scores and to have on hand for booking certain reservations.  So after reading some of the success stories and with much hesitency, because I thought I would be denied, I applied for and was surprisingly approved instantly for a Capital One Quicksilver card with a $3,000 limit. 

I guess there really is life after bankruptcy!

Welcome to the forum! You are in the best place you can be for anything FICO or credit card related.  You will find that you will have many other good options open to you as well after completing your Chapter 13 BK.

 

Congratulations on your new Capital One credit card! That's a nice SL as well.
