Checked prequalified offers on Capital One and received an offer for Savor at 24%APR (no range) and decided to take the plunge.
At the time of application, was at EX-672 TU-695 EQ-699 with AAoA 7yrs 7mo and last baddie was almost 5 years ago. 2 cards with BoA (Cash Rewards $1,700 at 3 months old, Travel Rewards $2,000 PC from Secured at 2 years old)
Received the 7-10 processing message. Called 3 days later and CR said that my application was still unprocessed but sitting with Fraud Protection (seems to be the standard currently with all Cap One applications unless you have history with them). She said to call back in 2 days if they don't call me.
Will update when I hear back later this week!
UPDATE: I tried calling through the week and they kept saying that I should receive a call from their Fraud Department and if I didn't receive the call that I should call the main line back. I did this a few times until today (6 days since application) when I was finally transferred to a fraud specialist for verification. They checked my name, DOB, Social Security #, and that I was verbally confirming I intended to submit this application. Fraud specialist said I would hear back in 7-10 days (Immediately thought denial because of Chase's use of those numbers as being ominous). I asked if I could find out a decision, CR transferred me back to an account specialist. Account specialist verified my identity once more and advised me that I was APPROVED with a $10,000 SL!!!
Seems clear that if you receive the wait message, you're very likely on the way to a verification plus approval with Capital One.
