Capital One Savor Approval

I know there are better cards available for dining/grocery however my discharge from 12/2015 prevents me from getting them. I considered the Uber Visa and even Paypal’s 2% card but the banks behind these cards and the various stories made me hesitant..

This is my first Cap One card since my rebuild. I avoided them in the beginning because I didn’t want to be stuck in the “your credit sucks” bucket with minimal increases. Figured I’d wait it out, improve my scores and get some history under my belt first. With that said I am happy to report that the wait paid off. Instant approval for 10k!!

I’m currently opted out so this was a cold app. What’s interesting is that I have filled out the preapproval page over the years just for the heck of it and always got back “we can’t find anything at this time”. Did it again last night (I know. Lol bare with me) and this time the verbiage was different. Something to the tune of “is there any chance you’re opted out? If so it’s ok. Here are some cards we think...” so I decided to go for it.

My Current FICO Scores are TU:659 EX:687 EQ: (not sure)
Including the triple pull TU and EQ have 6 inquires and EX has 1.
AAOA is 3.5 years and I’m a stay at home mom that uses household income on apps (roughly 75k)
Really excited to add this card to my lineup. No AF, no minimum redemptions, $150 SUB, and 0% APR till the end of the year. Will probably become my daily driver as it fits my spend and fills that 2% spot I was missing.

Thanks for reading

Re: Capital One Savor Approval

Congrats on the new CapOne card. I have two CapOne's and I think they are great. Not cards that I use everyday, but CapOne took a chance on me a long time ago when I had "challenged credit" so I am going to keep them for as long as I can. They do CLI's regularly (every 6 months) and it is SUPER easy to request a increase with no HP. Sure there are cards out there with different rewards / perks that may be better for certain people, but any credit card with a $10K limit and no AF is good in my book. After 1 year you will be eligable to product change so if you are looking to go to the Quicksilver or Venture (One) it will be an option mostlikely. Keep up the great work! You are doing great!!

Big CongraTS!  I was in a similiar situation over 3 years ago with a 590 fico and Cap1 was gracious enough to let me in.  Solid website and app!
