Capital One Surprise Increase 1K to 3K

A couple of nights ago, I started the process of asking for a credit limit increase with Capital One Platinum and I did not go thru with it.  However, today I noticed they increased my credit limit from $1,000 to $3,000 and I received no notification.  

My credit limit has been increased about four months post-bankruptcy and three statements later.  

I have been making about five or six or more payments each month and keeping the balance very low under 30%.

Data Points score range from 659 to 679.

Good Thursday night for me! I am shocked because I have seen a lot of posts that Capital One increases were hard to get.

You're right that many of us post about how small Capital One's CLIs are, but that's really only true of the customer-requested ones. The automatic CLIs they give out are quite generous, as your 3x shows.

Congrats on your increase! Capital One is a funny one for sure. It does appear like you earned it by putting enough use on it and making multiple payments in a month/keeping the balance low. They like heavy spend and large payments. Well done!
