Hello everyone! I just wanted to share with those who may be worrying about whether they can re-establish old accounts with capital one after ch7bk that they really are forgiving. I burned them pretty badly in my filing... Two credit cards totaling 10k, both of which had been charged off and sent to court in preparation for suing me. My bk was discharged on 10/29/18, so I am just a few days shy of my 2 month anniversary. I had been checking for a pre-approval for weeks, but no luck. Finally, I decided to apply for a Quicksilver card (identical to the one I'd included in my bk) despite not having a preapproval, and to my utter shock, I was instantly approved for a $1000 limit. Don't be discouraged! The opportunity to get back on track really is out there. Good luck to all the rebuilders out there.
Edited to clarify that they approved me for a QS1; my old card was a QS. I didn't realize this until a few hours after I posted this. As we all know, there's a difference in credit tiers between the two products, but to be honest, I don't care. I'm still just glad to be back in with Cap1.
That's actually pretty amazing. Congrats!!
