CapitalOne Quicksilver CLI approved

About a month ago, I was denied a CLI from CapitalOne Quicksilver. Came on here to the MyFico forums and got the good advice to keep on putting spend onto the card and paying it off and to try again. Well, I did try again today and got a $1,500 CLI!  I was on $6,800 and now I'm up to $8,300. Not quite the $10,000 I was looking for, but, a CLI is a CLI and it's always welcome!

Capital One takes patience.

You need to be using the card regularly for at least three months before applying.

You need to pay your bill on time or early.

You should expect only one CLI once every six months.

You won't get to talk to anyone; it's all automated.

The CLI's are usually pretty small, so a $1,500 increase from that starting point is typical.

Mark your calendar and keep hitting it exactly at the six-month point!

Yes Cap1 likes their cards to have calluses first before they open up to CLIs!

They even think my $1K a month spend is “Not enough Usage” to merit CLI!

Congrats!! And to think I was going to ask if I can go from my 5k limit to 10k on my QS in a few months. I guess I can hang that idea up.
