Care Credit CLI (SP)

So, just to see what would happen, I went online to my Care Credit account...I hadn't attempted a CLI since the one was disapproved in early March. Prior to that time it had been about 11 months without any activity on my account. The denial reason given was for lack of account activity. Since the request in March I put one $10 charge through my card and paid it off before the statement cut. Today I asked for an increase from $4K to $10K and was given an instant CLI to $12K. It certainly seems like card activity, even minimal, will have a significant impact.

Congrats on the CLI...

Just a word of advice from someone who has been there/done that.....let that balance report a few times on your account.

I did the same as you...charged a small amount, and then PIF before statement cut. Card got closed at the one year mark for "no activity". No warning or anything. I called in to have it reinstated, and I told them I used it, and they said I had no statements for a year, LOL. Once its closed, you have to wait to reapply.

anyways...just a little adviceSmiley Happy

Re: Care Credit CLI (SP)

Congrats on the great CLI.

They seem to do like at least some usage (or why have their card). A little here and there helped get mine to 15K in less than a year

Thanks!  It's one of those cards that you may not need daily/weekly/monthly, but when you need it, YOU NEED IT!!!  I think I'll do just as advised and let a balance (small) report so that activity is more readily apparent.  My dog is on prescription food that I buy monthy, so I think I'll use that to show some reciprocal love/use to Care Credit!
