Im new here and I just wanted to add an update on the process for the Cathay Visa Sig for those interested.  I've read a lot on here about how long it takes to go through the process.  It appears that they arent manually reviewing all of them anymore, i got an instant approval and email this morning when i applied.  Just adding this incase anyone would be interested.

They pulled TU (im in Ohio), TU score 710, 5 inq.  SL $7500.

35k miles w/$2500 spend plus additional 25K after $7500 in the year.  includes marco polo for 1  year (not that big of a deal in my case) annual fee waived.  i intend to xfer the miles to a partner airline.
