Cathay Pacific Visa APPROVED!

As many others have reported, my approval was not instant. It took close to a week to receive the Congratulations email, telling me I had been approved (I did call in right after I submitted the application, and went through some fraud verification steps).  I was excited for the sign-up bonus, and basically held my breath as I applied, as I knew the application could go either way! I had just been denied the week prior for Paypal 2% Mastercard (Synchrony) due to inquiries, but lo and behold, Cathay Pacific (also Synchrony) gave me a shiny new $6700 SL.  Go figure! I actually preferred this card over the PP, anyway, so it worked out. I’m assuming this will be the Visa Signature, judging from the SL, but I didn’t ask when I called to verify the credit limit.

Once again I must thank this awesome community for sharing their knowledge and data points about this card!

Congrats!  I keep getting pre-approvals for this card, but my overall exposure with Synchrony has given me pause.  Enjoy the new card!

Congrats on the approval! Call and ask robo lady for an increase. I got mine raised 3 months after I opened mine to 15K. No hp either

Can I ask where you're seeing pre-approvals?  Did they mail you a letter, send an e-mail or is there somewhere you see online?
