Hey guys, I'm really interested in the Chase Freedom card, but would like your option on my chances for approval.
I'm specifically looking for a CL of at least 5K on this card,
But at the same time I would like to apply while the $200 bonus is still being offered.
Here are my current stats:
Scores around 680-690.
- Amex Gold: NPSL : $0Bal (1/12)
- Amex Delta: $1k : $0Bal (Just got this card 11/13 - but backdated to jan 12)
- Citi DP: $3k : $1,200 Bal (0% into apr) (6/13)
- Discover IT: $2k : $0Bal (4/12)
- Cap1 Quicksilver: $3k : $0Bal (5/11)
- Best Buy MC: $1k : $0Bal (12/10)
- Best Buy store card: $1k : $0Bal (3/12)
- Express Store card: $500 : $0Bal (Just got this card 11/13)
- If it helps, I also bank with chase, and have an auto loan with them. (Auto loan in Jan '13)
No baddies, lates, etc...
Basically, I'd like to get this card especially with the $200 bonus, however I would only really like this card with about a 5k limit.
Thoughts?
I would think approval wouldn't be a problem as I was just approved with them and my experian was only a 655 at the time I applied. The only thing I think would be holding you back is that you don't have any other cards near that $5,000 limit, as well as your income I think would have a factor in this as well.
No one can say if you'll get a 5k line
Especially since you have no 5k history lines..sorry
More ifo needed
INQ's the last year scores
Id say approval odd are very, very good.
I got the Freedom around the 1st of last month, and just got the Amazon Visa (also Chase) this month. So that new card shouldn't really hurt anything.
The limit no one can answer.
But I would say if you go for it and do not get the limit you want just wait 6 months and call them and ask for a CLI.
Thats what Im doing with mine. It costs a HP for a CLI so no point taking a double hit now. Better off to wait a bit where the chances will be higher of getting what you want.
have you checked the pre-qual on chase's website?
I would think you are good to go!
Well - I pulled the trigger.
Approved for 3k.
Maybe in a few months after a relationship builds i'll ask for a CLI.
