Applied for a Chase Sapphire Preferred 8/11/18 and got a 30 day message

Called the automated number and it said I should hear in 2 weeks

Chase exposure

Checking account

Freedom 5k opened 7/16  $0 bal (instant approval)

Ritz Carlon 25k opened 4/17 $600 bal (Instant approval) 

currently at 4/24

What are the chances of approval ?

Call the backdoor number. It's most likely an identity verification issue. A few questions and perhaps a code texted to you should get you approved faster. No need to wait.

I was worried that you might've reached 50% of your income in Chase CL considering you're already at 30K. That doesn't seem to be the case. As the poster above mentioned, call the back door number. You should have no problem getting approved.

So I called the backdoor number and was told my Equifax was locked and I would have to unlock it to proceed.

I was hoping they would have used the other 2 (less inquiries and higher scores) 

Called back in 15 mins, they did the verification stuff send a text to my phone etc.

Approved for $16.5k !!

I asked why only that amount

She dug deep in the history and told me about a chargeoff from 1998. So I said that's 20 years ago. I was then informed it was not on my credit report but its in my chase profile. I wonder if this is why I never got a CLI from my other chase cards

btw store cards don't count towards 5/24 if they did I would not have been approved
