Chase Amazon Prime approval

Got approved for Chase Amazon Prime Signature Visa today. However, the approval said the initial credit limit is $5,000, but when I log into my Chase account, it shows $8,300 credit limit (this is the same limit on another Chase card). Weird. Anyone ever seen that before?

Congrats.. yes common 5k is most they will show on approval till logged into chase account for this card. guessing security due to amazon

I had the exact same thing! It said the limit was 5,000 in the initial email. Then I checked on Chase and it said 8,400.

Congrats! It seems that the approval screen and email will show a max approved limit of $5000 even if the real limit is higher. Mine was the same way.
