Chase Amazon VISA approved after IIB.. epic recon

I filed BK CH7 back in 2013. Chase was included for a good amount. I’ve rebuilt fairly well since then but each time over the past two years I’ve applied for any chase cards I’ve been turned down even after recon. Yesterday I applied for the amazon visa once again to be immediately declined. I figured I’d give it a day to plan what I wanted to say in my recon. Called up tonight, said I knew I was declined and wanted to explain. I went through the entire spiel about how I have money saved now, I’ve rebuilt my credit etc etc. She came back three times asking me questions about why I have so many recent inquiries and accounts (which I do) and I explained I’ve just aggressively rebuild and also looking for rewards. I thought I had a good chance until she came back and said due to the new accounts it was a no. Given my experience the last few times I applied I almost said screw it but I called again. I pulled a little bit of Eminem in 8 mile where he raps about all the crap the next guy is going to say against him so they have nothing left to say. Before they could even ask any questions I explained in detail everything I knew they’d ask plus some for good measure. He put me on hold came back and said due to the new accounts we can only do $500 but he was submitting for approval. I’m so stoked.

Are congrats in order or are you still awaiting final full approval via postal service?  Based on your last sentence, I can’t tell if it’s a sure thing or not. If it is, this goes against many new data points indicating Chase is bankruptcy averse if it’s still reporting. 

Whatever the case, I dig your recon style and took some notes in case I need them in the future.

This is good news it was said here not long ago that Chase was denying apps with a BK on file and even Recon cant get it  approved. This may give DW hope she has a BK7 on file didn't burn Chase hasn"t opened a ton of accounts decisions decisions.
