Chase CSR Double Hard Pull For One App

Hi,

App’d for the CSR Tuesday 4/16 evening 10est.

Immediate HP on Experian notification from both Exp and myFICO dates 4/16

Received: “We have received your request for a Chase credit card. We'll let you know our decision as soon as possible.”

Wednesday evening get out of the blue second alert from both EXP and myFICO for a second HP from chase dated 4/17.

I did not call them, app for another card, literally no contact.

No email or call from Chase.

Check my online banking, approved with a 30.4k limit.

What should I do?

I really don’t want to call them.

My next highest limit card is 8k, a 6 y/o Slate, then a 4.2k Discover.

EXP fico was pulled at 794, has dropped to 777.

How would you handle it?

Last night I appd for a Citi Double Cash and was approved for 4.5k and was denied for a Cap1 Savor, going to recon that one.

Appreciate any advice!

Congratulations!  You got a fantastic card with a supurb SL!  Your scores are exceptional and the double HP will be deminimus in its effect.  If it were me, I would let it ride and be very pleased that my financial responsibility as evidenced by my FICO scores opened the door to a great product and SL.  Again, Congratulations!

Congrats on the approval! I wouldn't bother with the double pull since you were approved and have a great limit. The impact of the pull diminishes over the course of a year and then drops off completely after 2 years, so unless you plan to purchase a home soon, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I've had something similar happen before happed where it showed a second pull from the same bank--but when I called the bank they said they only did one pull--and I left it at that. A few days later the second HP was gone. So it's was probably a glitch somewhere on the part of the reporting company's system. Wait a few days and yours will probably be gone also.

This is what happens when we have some people getting 2 approvals on one pull. They have to make up the slack somewhere.

I'd be celebrating not getting (3) hard pulls from another Lender for a 1k SL

or (2) Hard Pulls and a "Denial"

I would let it go. A 30k limit is worth a double pull. Congrats!

I would call them and tell them there was a mistake. You expected a Cl of $5000 and you expect them to CLD to get you there.
