Clean report, no derog, had a CO with chase 9+ years ago.
She brought up the charge off, basically saying everything looks excellent and scores and history. However the charge off is preventing her from pushing it through right now. So she decieded to go ahead and reccommend me for review. And stated that based on what shes seen i will most likely get approved by her pushing it through to Charge off dept..
She insisted that my credit looked "Excellent" and she noted that everything looked positive so the "Charge off specialist" can see that i have reestablished my credit. I kept asking what my chances are and she kept reassuring me that it was "very very good." I was really anxious on the phone, and she kept trying to calm me down letting me know i have a good report and not to worry, her recommendation would take care of things.
I kept telling her i was concerned because about being denied kept telling me not to worry, in 24 hrs or less i will know for sure and the chances are pretty high ill get back in. This is the furthest ive gone with getting back in chase in the past 9 years. SO im curious to see the outcome. ill be checking my account every 5 mins.
Anyone ever had to go through this process?
Is recommended for review a positive experience. Ive never heard of stuff being sent to a CO dept for review. Pretty unique here.
It just bums me out that my scores are high, report is clean, and the chase rep couldnt push it through because i was being blocked by a $2k CO from 9 almost 10 years ago. She even said it wasnt right. I guess thats why she tried to help me go further.

Well its possible your blacklisted if you didn't repay the debt. Although I have read stories that some have been able to get back in however its usually been minimum starting limits.
I repaid my debt as soon as it went to collections
Negotiated with them, paid the full amount i charged plus some of the fees. In the end it was 2k but i originally charged 1.6k but the fees made it grow.
There are no negative comments on the chase account so its crazy to me how hard they are going to keep me out. I would understand if i burned them for $10k+ plus.,
I explained to the rep i had just turned 19 and was given my first credit card EVER with $1600. I was in college full time, working a low wage part time job. So i fell behind she really seemed to understand, its not hard to understand. Im an adult now with a steady job, and good history outside of that one incident. ![]()
She said she put my situation in the review, and "its understandable". I really want a freedom sig, but i guess that wont happen if i get a $500 limit. **bleep** man i spend over 1k a month with my credit cards, $500 aint sh*t. Thats toy money.
Knowing my luck i wont get back in. Guess my screw up was massive loss to them.
edit
I know it sounds bitter but if i get denied im planning on taking all the money out of my checking and savings. I dont want anything to do with them if they dont want anything to do with me. ive worked so hard specifically to try and get back in with them boosting my credit 120+ pts in less than 2 years!!!! ![]()
My money is probably better off at TD bank anyway.
The non forgiving attitude is fine, $2k is a lot of money, even though i did pay it, i was extremely late and they had to CO. But if after 9 years, and 8 years banking with them having them handle all my money i cant get in again. WOW just wow.
Will repost when i get an update. I will probably call back in a few hours to see if there is anything new, and ill be checking my account tab for an update. Wish me luck all.

I really doubt $500 limit will grow in 9 months. From what ive seen here in the past 3 years. Id have to app to another chase card or two and do some CL swaps to make it respectable.
Ughhhh.
Im just hoping for a respectable limit. Goal is for sig $5,000. But if i get atleast 3k ill be happy. I can get a CSP later xfer some of that and after a year turn it into a sig.
I was expecting a high APR but not the possibility of the lowest limit. Low APR i can deal with, i never carry a balance.

Honestly with your score. I will speculate slim to no chance of 509 limit. Whatever it is. The limit is not important. It will grow. After 6 months as you're speculating. Yes App for 2nd card. Better limit. No need to worry over it. And sometimes 500 does grow. I got 500 qs1 exactly a year ago. Last May. It's now at 5500. 10 times. So it happens. No need to worry.

Once a day in the afternoon. However, I do think they'll get back to you before you get back to them.
