I was at a Chase branch yesterday to submit some paperwork related to my savings account. While the banker worked on that, I also asked if I was pre-approved for a Freedom and she said yes! I pulled the trigger and was instantly approved for $6800. Not too happy with the SL but I've been wanting this card for a while so I'll take it.
My next goal is to get the Citi DC. I'm sad I missed their SUB offer (I was waiting to be at 4/24 to apply for the freedom - I should've walked into the branch sooner) but I'll see if they will bring it up anytime soon.

Congrats on the Freedom. My initial Freedom SL was $500

Perhaps the 5/24 rule does not apply in Chase branches. ¯\_(ツ)_/ ¯
I've read mixed opinions about this but I'm glad it worked in my case.

Thanks! I'm sure your limit will grow over time. May be I'm just spoiled by looking at the limits on my other cards
Congrats on the approval!
Congrats on approval !!!!
Wow you give us all hope!
Congrats on approval and that's not a bad SL with Chase on that card. I missed the SUB on the Citi DC as well, but honestly, it's one of my main cards and I love Citi! They were the first bank to be generous with me and have showed me even more love in the last three months I've had the card. So I'm happy with them!
Point to note: From the threads I've read on the Chase 5/24, it does appear at times your banking relationship with Chase can override this rule. I've thought about opening an account with them myself just to build that relationship with them.
Congrats again!!
Congrats on your approval...nice SL...
