On 12/30 I applied on line for the Chase Freedom. It was not an instant approval. I use a UPS box as my mailing address, so I figured this was the problem. I called the verification department and after being asked a few questions, I was told that I needed to verify my address by faxing or mailing a copy of my driver's license or utility bill.
So on 12/31 I faxed a copy of my gas bill. Finally today on 1/4 I checked the robolady (yet again) to see if I was approved, and I heard that I was approved and that my starting limit is $7,000. I like this card because of the 5% cash back (especially for gas). Also, I have some dental work coming up, and that 0% 15-month purchase option will help me out.
They only pulled Experian which my FICO there is currently at 792 with 20% credit usage.
