Chase Freedom Approved online Then Denial

Let me start by saying my approval was an instant approval with a stated credit line, NOT a pre-approval.

In the span of one day, I applied for 3 of Chase's cards.  I was approved for the first with a stated credit line, the second was approved with a stated credit line and the last a denial.  

I reconned and was told I was approved for the first two, but denied due to too many inquiries.  

Today I get a letter stating I was denied for the 2 of them for too many inquiries.  I don't understand why I'm being denied if I was already approved.  Any thoughts, suggestions?

Cards : Hyatt, Freedom, Southwest (last two denied)

EDIT: I was also told information had to be verified, which was verified on the phone and then told to wait for a decision. I called later to find I was still approved for the first two and denied for the last.

It would seem after calling the backdoor number, there was a loss in (computer)communication  after sending applying for the applications simultaneously. Their system shows I applied for 4 cards. The system says I applied for a Freedom card twice.  I was denied the second.  So the 2 approvals still stand. 😀
