Hello all,
This happened a few months ago, but I thought it would be a useful DP to share.
When I recieved the card, I was really surprised by this approval. I didn’t have a pre-approval offer, nor did I have a year of credit history.
After I submitted my application, I got the 30 day message. A few days later, I received the 7-10 day message indicating that I would probably be denied. However, I got a letter from chase asking for verification. I called them, verified my information, and I was approved with a $1500 credit limit.
My stats when I applied:
BOFA Cash Rewards (with 3% back on online shopping), $1000 credit limit, opened 08/23/20
Discover IT, $500 credit limit, opened 08/23/20
Experian: 715
Income: 28k (I’m a high school senior working and receiving social security benefits.)
Hard Pulls (prior to CFF): 3
Checking account with Chase for 4 months ($1800 in the account)
Congratulations on your CFF approval!
Awesome start to your credit!
They tend to do verifications on sub-21 applicants, so that's pretty normal; the checking account with decent balance definitely set you up for success, too!
Congrats!
