Gf applied for the Freedom yesterday. Instantly denied online, but called in and was approved after some questions. CSR told her that if you're under 21 they don't tend to give out instant approvals because they need to verify income either verbally or through the mail, so if anyone out there gets instantly denied (7-10 day message) and is under 21, call in!
Datapoints:
SL: $2,400
Income: $12,000 (Yes, you can still be approved with low income if you have a clean report!)
No baddies
EX FICO 730
Inq. 1
Pulled EX (California)
3 Revolvers + an installment
AAoA 13 months.
Hopefully this helps people looking to apply for Chase Freedom!
Congrats on the approval!
thats awesome OP..congrats!
Great post! Excellent DPs. Thank you.
And Congrats! -- 2400 is a quite decent SL.
This is really good to hear. Chase Freedom was my 2nd card when I was in college (I think around 2004-2005) and my income was super low. Next up, Freedom Unlimited? And then Sapphire Reserve? (The trifecta.)
Congrats on the approval, OP!
As a person of the low-income bracket, I kudos this post.
