I'll spare the back story, because I already made a thread about it here.
I called recon right after getting denied, talked to a credit analyst, and was told I would likely get a decision within 48 hours. Robolady was giving the 30-day notice.
I called again today, 6 days later, and asked nicely if there was anything else they needed from me to process the application. I was put on an epic 45-minute hold and the next person who picked up said they simply needed to confirm that I "selected the Freedom card as the card I wanted to apply for." I said yes, they ran it through the algorithm again, and I was approved on the spot for a $1k starting limit!
I'm now at 5/24, so I'm gardening until July, 2021 when a 5/24 slot will open up and I can apply for the CFU. Then, when it makes sense after that, I plan to get a CSP and complete the trifecta.
I only have 8 months of credit history, so let this be a DP that you do NOT need a year of credit history to end up getting a Chase card!
Congratulations! ..
Wow! Nice! Congratulations!
Congratulations on your new Chase card. Great job with your persistence.

Lol at your 5/24 status! It's important to me to build out my base of cards in the Chase ecosystem, so I'll get to exercise patience while I wait for my next slot to open up. The only other credit card I have any interest in that isn't Chase is the B&H Payboo card, but I feel like the "no sales tax" benefit will be going away sooner than later, plus I am very uncomfortable with Synchrony and have a desire to stay away from them as much as possible. I've heard not nice things about them.
Congratulations on your approval! 👍
Congrats on your approval!
I hope to join the Chase family eventually...just patiently waiting for my scores to rise a bit more before I bite the bullet and apply.
Way to keep on em!!! Congrats!🤟
