My wife and I had a Chase Freedom Visa that we got in Fall 2007, but it was closed when I was depressed and didn't spend on most cards (I had many cards closed) that was in my name.
My wife applied for a Chase Freedom Visa right before they switched to the freedom flex MC, but was denied because of AU accounts and experian boost (that thing is stupid in our case) put her over 5/24 and they would not reconsider.
On Monday, August 15, 2022, her and I put out monthly request for a Discover CLI in and her CLI was almost double from $8800 to $17800 ($7000). I was feeling both amd arrogant so I said we should apply for the last card on our wish list, the Chase Freedom flex, she said sure (she's very enthusiastic).
We unlocked her TransUnion and applied. Got a 14 day message... crap.
She used to have a checking account from Chase and still uses Credit Journey, so she has login credentials. I had her login and she was approved for $10,300. Weird amount I'll admit, but I'm pretty happy. She's happy that I'd happy.
Since it was a few hours and not an instant approval, we don't have the account number, exp date, CVV2 to add to Apple Pay & use online to start earning that initial promo (I thing you have to spend $500, I like to be sure they are met ASAP)
Congrats on the Chase Freedom Flex approval!
