Opened a Chase Checking account and deposited $100 cash, during the application teller said I was preapproved for a couple of cards. I laughed at that since I was 17/24 and said even though my credit score is ok, with my number of accounts there is no way i would get approved. Teller smiled and kinda confirmed.
After noticing many people were getting approved for the Chase card, late last night I decided to go for it. I figured worst case scenario they say no, and I try again in 24 months. I thought if they say NO, this would drive me not to put any new accounts for the next 24 months.
To my absolute surprise, I got approved, SL $10,500 ( the biggest by far) 21.49% APR. I was absolutely shocked. They pulled TU 707 and EX 711 in Ca.
Back in the garden for real this time.
Congrats on your approval
Congrats.. Something has certainly changed at Chasem, what it is we don't know for sure yet and probably won't for several more weeks as dp's keep coming in.
Congrats!
Congrats on your approval and to step out be bold and just do it!
Congratz.
I tried getting the Chase Amazon last month but got denied with the solution for age & my first card not being 1+ year. In the meantime, I opened up a college checking & savings last Friday in hopes of setting some money aside while I build up some relationship with Chase.
Congratulations!!

Congrats. I like the verbage "want a different credit line" lol who really doesn't😉
But yes great SL, makes you wonder if they are relaxing a bit, but maybe just with their banking customers.
So wish I prequalified for something other than travel cards because I am like infinity&beyond/24😯

Thanks. Yeah, I've been a banking customer for an entire 72 hours prior to applying. My recommendation to others is to try. This is the kind of card that gets you in the door with Chase.
