Congrats on a great card.
The big thing with this card is the access to the Ultimate Rewards Portal, where you can exchange points between travel rewards systems both in and outside of the UR system. If redeeming points for travel, you also get a 25% bonus on your points, so 100 URs becomes worth 125 URs for travel.
I have freedom with no af...which im planning to keep it...so, freedom unlimited doesn't have access to Ultimate Rewards Portal in order to redeem points for travel?
I believe it does, but you can't combine points from other UR earning cards, and you won't get the 25% bonus.
what is so special about this card other than its chase and bonus? im asking this because im very serious to close off my this card within 3-4 days as Im not getting any benefit of dis card as they r useless 2 me and unnecessary paying $95 af... maybe, your n other nembers' response might change my mind...
If I understand correctly, the real benefits from having the Sapphire Preferred come from it being paired with the Freedom Flex and/or the Freedom Unlimited. I believe those two card typically earn more points per dollar spent, but the Sapphire Preferred is better at maximizing redemptions from those two cards.
Not only that, but you can also transfer/combine points from family members under the same roof's chase cards to your UR bank. DH has the FF, so getting this just opened up the UR platform so we can start redeeming. ☺️
Nice, grats on your fantastic SL
Chase is HP for CLI requests
Seems high for someone with an AAoA 3 yrs 5 mos, but maybe UTI & DTI is playing a part? UTI is under 1% and DTI is 27%.
Nah Chase doesnt make those kinds of mistakes, that would likely happen from some overburdened CU. Keeping your reported revolving balances low in relation to overall CL (Income in there too) is what they look at the most and this isnt just for Chase.
I'm showing "already approved" for CSP but I don't have FF or FU cards. I wanted a higher limit card, does it make sense for me to bother if I don't have the other 2? I don't want a pull till it's going to give me more then 5k.
