Recently posted a question askgin whether I should keep my Slate card. It had a SL of $800 and it had been in my drawer for almost a year. I was in a bit of credit card debt so the Slate card helped a lot (less than $2000 more to go! expecting to clear everything by November). The consensus answer was to keep the card to keep open and PC to a CF or CFU.
I did just that last Saturday. Got on the phone with a rep and he gladly PC Slate into CF. I didn't want CFU since I already have a 1.5% card. Yesterday, I emailed a rep requesting CLI to $6,000. This morning I woke up to an approved CLI! Next card in my eye (applied Barclay Uber earlier this month) is CSR/CSP but that won't be until next year.
