Chase World of Hyatt $5k 6 mo Credit History

Really excited! 4/24, my credit history started in 10/2018 when I got my BoA card.

Applied for a Freedom Unlimited last month and got rejected. A few weeks later, I moved my investments (20k+) to Chase YouInvest, I needed it anyway since I didn't like the transaction fees in my old brokerage.

Got an in-branch preapproval for the FU a couple weeks after. I waited until exactly 31 days after the FU application and applied for the Hyatt card - pending.

Called and they wanted to verify my identity, sent in the docs and got rejected. Immediately called recon and explained that I was planning to travel a lot, they asked for my income, then got approved for $5k and the highest APR (shrug I don't keep a balance anyway).

Probably going to wait until my oldest account turns 1 until applying again.

So it looks like Chase will overlook the 1 year history requirement if you drop some money in their vault. Congrats!!!
