Chase me to Freedom!!

This will be my fourth credit card since I began a little over a year ago. During the past few months I kept trying the prequal page on Chase without any luck so I just decided to cold app. Instant approval for $6,700!! I was hoping for a little more since I got a CLI to $18,000 on my AMEX recently but it's best to not be too greedy. Smiley Tongue I'm a little surprised however that they pulled Experian AND Transunion - it's a bummer getting dinged twice.

EDIT: Forgot to mention it was at 22.XX% APR which is UGLY but I never carry a balance so it doesn't matter.

Congratulations on the approval! I'd say it's well worth the double pull.

Re: Chase me to Freedom!!

I was thinking should I apply for another credit card right now so they age together or would that hurt my account with Chase if they check up on me after? I was thinking the PNC Cash Rewards or BofA Cash Rewards.

Re: Chase me to Freedom!!

Congrats on the approval! I love my Chase Freedom. If you think you will get value out of one of the cards, especially if there is a welcome bonus that you think you will be able to meet, it might be a good idea to apply now. It wouldn't affect anything with Chase and it will help you maintain a higher AAoA in the long term. As long as you pay in full at the end of every month and don't carry a balance, of course.
