Citi AA Platinum "More Information" Then 3-5 Days? - UPDATE: Approved!

Hi I’m new to the forums but I’ve been checking it out for a while now. I had just applied and been approved for the MileUp card about a month or so ago and now realized I’d be better off with the Platinum Select (most of my money goes to food and I can’t upgrade since it hasn’t been a year) so I decided to pull the trigger since I’ve been having good luck with approvals and got a message saying “We need a little more information from you... call here and give us the information and you’ll get an instant decision.” I called and basically just verified it was me but was told I couldn’t get an instant decision and I would be notified in 3-5 days I would assume about my decision. Anyone else ever had this happen or know of anything I can do besides wait?

I had thought about calling again because I didn't really remember the context of the 3-5 days but also don't know if I should do that or just see if they contact me back in a day or two

IMO, I would just let the process play out.  If you've been approved for the other Citi card not long ago then it is likely under manual review.

I got approved today, 3 days from when they told me that 3-5 so ya it must’ve just been a matter of verification then sending it through the app process again. Thanks again for the input

Congrats! Can you provide some data points. Like CRA pulled and score?

Sure and thanks to everyone! So they pulled Experian with a score of 702 (it's been better but I've been applying for a few cards since I'm trying to fund a trip), and got the SL of $1500 which is the biggest I've gotten so far, which is big for me as I'm only 18 so it's good for me and especially seeing that Citi's giving me more even after only a month of the MileUp card and my thinish file
