I was told the same. Recently opened a PenFed credit card and I have very little debt with 6 digit income. They said 10k is max initial limit. They wouldn't even let me add a new credit card without splitting the limit. They said in 6 months, it'll be a breeze for a CLI. Looking forward to it. Congrats on the approval!!

I would hit Penfed with that score and take their $50K max limit!! Smiley Happy


Seems foolish to get a Penfed card if the user wants a Chase Saphire card down the road.  Why waste a 5/24 slot on that card?
