I applied for the new Citi Custom Cash card earlier this afternoon and received an instant approval for $6,500, with a 0% intro APR for 15 months, then 13.99.
I have a Double Cash card with Citi that started as a ThankYou Premier in 2015. Through a series of soft pull increases, the limit is now at $19,200. I stopped requesting CLIs on that account a long time ago.
Two other approvals from early March 2021:
Chase Freedom Flex - $22,700, 0% intro APR for 15 months, then 14.99 ($200 SUB).
Capital One SavorOne - $7,500, 0% intro APR for 15 months, then 15.49 ($200 SUB).
Overall utilization: 1%
At the time of the new Citi app today, I had 4-5 inquiries on each bureau. I received notification that Citi pulled EQ today. I know they didn't pull TU and I'm hoping they didn't pull EX either. Chase double pulled TU and EX. So, if Citi only pulled EQ, it will give me 5 inquiries on each bureau. Two on each bureau are mortgage related from June 2019, so they'll drop off next month.
Before the Citi app today, I was 2/6, 2/12, 2/24.
I don't know all of my scores, but my TU FICO Score 8 was 813 on May 23rd.
My Double Cash is my only 2% cash back card, so I had no interest in doing a product change, and I wanted the SUB.
This new card puts me back at 10 open cards and I likely won't be applying for anymore for a long time to come. I look at it as the "Grand Finale" approval after opening 15 new credit card accounts over the past 8 years.
Congrats on your approvals both new and old
