Citi Double Cash SP CLI $16.2k -> $24.2k. HP CLI -> $50k

Yesterday, I requested a CLI on the Citi DC and got a SP increase from $16.2k to $24.2k. But, I'd already decided to take a HP no matter the CLI amount, so I filled out the form to request $50k.

Today, I got an alert from EX about the expected HP. Logged in to Citi's site about a half hour later, and found the same $24.2k limit. I thought they'd denied the request so I went back to work (a little annoyed).

Later on, email from Citi arrived with the good news and full $50k approved. It just makes me wonder if I should've requested a higher limit. Oh well, next time...

Also, because I'm too lazy to start another thread, I just hit the Costco card and went from $22.7k to $25.7k with a soft pull. Not doing a HP on this because I don't need it.

And lastly, I'd requested an increase on my USB AR a few weeks ago. Went from $25k to $40k with a HP.

You're #goals for me when I ask for Citi Premier CLIs in March 😂

Congrats on the increases!

Edit: Any datapoints as it relates to the DC by any chance?

LOL. I'm sure you'll get whatever you ask for... Smiley Very Happy

Ok DPs. Until about end of september or early October 2019, this card was deeeeeep in the SD. I mean, it'd see the light of day once every 6 months for a small charge and get a SP CLI. So, CLIs were always small at $2k each. Once DC became a TYP card, I dove into the SD looking for it Smiley LOL

Since end of Sept., I've put at least $4k to $9k per month, but in December, I cycled the limit more than twice. Luckily, Citi releases your CL immediately after payment so I was able to charge almost 3 times its limit.

This recent SP CLI was great. 4x the usual.

Now, the Costco card gets no spend lately because I've been using the biz version more, but they still gave me $3k even after the DC increase.

Agreed, this is one instance where a HP for a CLI really pays off.

You can't complain about a HP nets a $34K CLI, congrats!

So you put some serious spend on the card to get the limit. I think if I can get my card to the 20k range I'll be happy with basically little spend on mine 😂

Thanks for the info
